What are Userbars? Userbars (aka
Signature Bars) are a specific type of forum signature graphic 350 pixels wide and 19 pixels high that many forum community, email and social network (such as
MySpace or
Facebook) users attach to their signature, comments or website to express their personality and interests. Much like a cellphone ringtone does in the real world a userbar makes your posts unique. Userbars have become almost as common place as forum
avatars and
emoticons. There is a userbar sig for every conceivable subject from video games to music to tv shows and movies and are traded freely among enthusiasts. Userbar graphics are usually created with image/photo manipulation software such as
Adobe Photoshop,
Adobe ImageReady,
Paint ShopPro,
Gimp,
Paint.Net or
Macromedia Fireworks (see our
Tutorials), but you may also use the online
Userbar Designer or
request that one of our designers create one for you. The

What is the Userbar Animator? The Userbar Animator, previously known as UBAnimator.com, lets say you consolidate multiple usebars into a single "slideshow" of multiple userbars. Lets say that you are a tax attorney who drives a hybrid car, are a huge fan of the LOST TV series, enjoy music by Kiss and donate blood. You could attach all four of the userbars in the 'Before' box below to your signature.. OR you could combine them all into one convenient animated userbar like one of the userbars in the 'After' box!
Why animate your userbars? Many userbar fans have very cluttered looking signatures due to the number of userbars that they would like to display. All userbars generated by the Userbar Animator are animated .GIF files, not Macromedia Flash animations, and should be viewable by just about anyone with a web browser, no plugin required.
